I've often wondered how many (all?) Republicans feel on the subject and now thanks to Lt. Governor Andre Bauer from South Carolina I know. Though honestly I've known for quite some time, it's just that until now no Republican has been brave enough to actually say it.

And you know what, I can respect Lt. Governor Andre Bauer for standing behind what he believes/how he votes even if what he thinks makes me sick in a way I don't think I've ever truly been sick before. But, hey, stand behind what you believe/how you vote, because at least I can respect the honesty if not the opinion itself.

I can't find a direct quote, but here's a link which gives you the gist of it, though it doesn't have the quote where he basically says that feeding the poor children will only encourage them to breed, and so we should stop feeding them so they won't breed.

Yes, I am mystified, because on the outside Republicans seem very pro-life. I.E. We must FORCE the bitches to bear the pups, but once that's done forget about 'em. Seriously, if I understand correctly Republicans say that we must not abort the teeny tiny babes, but once they're out it's a-okay to starve them to death.

Honestly, it makes no sense, from my point of view, because it seems that it would be kinder to abort those babies instead of forcing them to go through what will be a much longer death by starvation.

Of course, it isn't as though I didn't all ready know that Republicans only cared about forcing the bitches to bear the pups and that beyond that they do not give a damn about the pups at all - it's just damn nice (and I honestly mean this) to see a Republican bold enough to step up and actually admit it.

Lt. Governor Andre Bauer, your opinion sucks ass, sir, but I can respect you for standing behind how you feel/vote.

At least now we know there's one honest (if not twisted) politician out there, what shocks me is that it's actually a Republican.

Thanks to PrincessWhoopAss over on the Terran BBS I now have a link with the quote, and bonus info about how Bauer received free lunches as a kid.

"My grandmother was not a highly educated woman, but she told me as a small child to quit feeding stray animals. You know why? Because they breed. You’re facilitating the problem if you give an animal or a person ample food supply. They will reproduce, especially ones that don’t think too much further than that. And so what you’ve got to do is you’ve got to curtail that type of behavior. They don’t know any better.”
