Okay, so the first thing I should have done after making my last entry should have been to find my story notes. Cause, can you guess what happened Friday when I decided to work on my fanfic? I couldn't find the notes and such.

The problem started a couple months ago, when I originally dug the notes and stuff out thinking I'd be able to work on the story. When it became clear I was not going to have time, instead of putting the notes and stuff back up - I left them out. A combination of things caused this to happen, mainly I kept thinking I'd have time and I just kept not having time. Then I sorta forgot that I hadn't put the notes up because by then the notes were out of sight. They ended up getting rather buried under quite a few other things.

So, then Friday, I pulled up the already posted portion of the story to reread, but before I got into that I figured I should get the notes and stuff ready. Because I was hoping once I finished the reread I'd be able to just jump right in and start working. Well, while I was looking for the story notes, there was a power outage. Yes, you read that right, the power went out. It didn't last long, I think it was only off about an hour. But it was already late when that happened and when the power came back on later still. So since I didn't have any notes I just didn't turn the PC back on.

Well, I finally found the notes Saturday after I turned the PC off Saturday and just refused to turn it back on mainly cause I was afraid I end up trying to work all night. Or worse I'd turn things back on and just not be able to write anything.

Anyway, now I have my notes, but not time to work. Well, that isn't exactly true, I'd have time to work. But I'm not home alone and that means the TV is on, and I'm one of those writers that need quite to work - otherwise I end up typing what I'm hearing rather than what I should be typing.

I don't really know why that happens, because I can type up messages, journal entries, message board entries, and if a story is already handwritten - I can usually type it up no problem, but I can't seem to properly focus without a "hard copy" when it comes to stories with words being spoken/sung around me. Go figure.
I can even work in edits to a story with all kinds of other things going on.

But, at least, since I've found the story when I have a moment or two to myself I'll be able to work on it.
